Ten Tiny Breaths (Ten Tiny Breaths, #1)

Ten Tiny Breaths (Ten Tiny Breaths, #1) - K.A. Tucker Whatever I write about this book will not be enough. I didn't want to put this book down. I didn't want this book to end. When I wasn't reading this book, I was thinking about it. From the first page to the last, I was captivated. As with most New Adult books, the pattern was the same: girl (Kacey) experiences tragedy - Kacey meets gorgeous, sexy, blue eyed Trent (who by the way has a tattoo, a Harely and 8-pack abs - *SWOON*) - Kacey and Trent have a serious issue to work past individually and as a couple - then...well you'll have to read the book to see how it ends. Even though the plot was somewhat predictable, it is the details, writing and character development that made this book what it is. Like most people, I have experienced death, tradegy and heartache, but nothing like Kacey has. She lost her mom, dad, best friend and boyfriend in a car accident that physically shattered her body and shattered her spirit. This struck a deep cord within me and I can't figure out why. I give total credit to K.A. Tucker's writing style. This book did what few books have done to me before, it allowed me to feel every emotion Kacey was feeling as if it was happening to me. When she was sad, happy, anxious, scared, excited, turned on, I physically felt those emotions. I swear, I felt my hand tingle the first time Kacey and Trent's hands touched. My body shivered when they kissed. It was amazing. The love I feel for this book, for Kacey and Trent, for the supporting characters (who were absolutely brilliant) will stay with me for a long time. It is for those reasons that this is a 5 start book for me and a book I will not soon forget.
